Best Dubai Water Parks For Under 5’s by The Carey Mum

Updated: Mar 30, 2019

With so many water park attractions in Dubai it’s hard (and expensive) to do all of them… Especially if you’re just visiting for a holiday.

I’ve done a little review on the ones that we’ve been to so far! (I’ll update the list as and when we visit more) I’ve focused on how they’re suited to under 5’s.

Water Parks For Under 5’s

Aquaventure – Atlantis – My Rating For Under 5’s, 8/10

Pros

  • Newly refurbished toddler zone with a super soft floor and beach shore style entrance.

  • Specially designated toddler area called ‘Splashers Kids Play Area’ including Splashers Island and Splashers Mountain.

  • Lots of slides suitable for even the littlest of ones under 1.2m tall.

  • Splash park style pool

  • UAE Residence rates available

  • Lazy river rings suitable for little tots with the seat included.

  • Entry is included if you’re a hotel guest at the Atlantis.

  • Clean & newly refurbished toddler zone, Splashers Island.

  • Life jackets available (free of charge)

  • Free entry for children 0-2 years old!

Aquaventure Water Park

Cons

  • Gets very busy – aim to get there for opening time to get beds near the kids area. Seating is limited.

  • Not very pram/stroller friendly – No ramp down to the ‘Splashers Kids Play Area’ steps only.

  • Charge for towels so be sure to take your own.

  • Pricey and unlikely to be on offer although UAE residence rates are available.

Legoland Water Park – My Rating For Under 5’s, 7/10

Pros

  • Pram/stroller friendly

  • Redidence rates available

  • Designated toddler area – Duplo Spash Safari. Joker Soaker is also available for those 91cm and above.

  • Lots to keep little ones entertained – building lego boats and racing them etc.

  • Life jackets available (free of charge)

  • Free entry for children 0-2 years old!

  • Discounts sometimes available on Dubai Parks & Resorts website, especially if you book in advance!

Legoland Waterpark Dubai

Cons

  • Limited slides suitable for tots under 91cm. Majority of slides are for those 1.2m and above.

  • The rings for the lazy river do not have the child seat in them.

  • Charge for towels so be sure to take your own.

  • Gets very busy – aim to get there for opening time to get beds near the kids area. seating is limited.

Wild Wadi – My Rating For Under 5’s, 6/10

Pros

  • Often on the Entertainer app with buy one get one free entry.

  • UAE Residence rates – includes a free towel to take home and a free meal.

  • Access included if you stay at a Jumeirah Hotel, click here to see which ones are included!

  • Wave pool next to kids area, Juha’s Dhow & Lagoon.

  • Free entry for those under 1.1m tall.

  • Life jackets available (free of charge)

Wild Wadi

Cons

  • Charge for towels so be sure to take your own.

  • Kids zone is a little big for under 5’s. Some slides are ok but a lot of the frame/slides are for bigger kids.

  • Gets very busy – aim to get there for opening time to get beds near Juha’s Dhow & Lagoon. Seating is limited.

  • Tired & dated kids zone in comparison to the new facilities at Aquaventure.

  • Not very pram/stroller friendly – No ramp access to the kids zone, up and down steps only.
